Research Foci:
We are currently involved in a number of research efforts using information from our large (~1300 new students per year) freshman engineering class.
- Investigating the effect of initial attiutdes toward computer programming as it affects learning to use computers.
- Investigating the relationship among various academic and non-academic experiences of students piror to their admission to Virginia Tech with their academic success here.
- Researching the use of electronic portfolios in engineering insturctiona and assessment.
