Challenges in Engineering Educattion:
- Develop and disseminate engineering case studies that bring real-word issues into classrooms, using multi-media information technologies and cross-disciplinary teams,
- Enhance students' knowledge of real-word engineering practices,
- Promote exemplary teaching practices,
- Train faculty members in effective use of case studies in classrooms,
- Provide assessment instruments that could be used to measure the effectiveness of case study instruction,
- Help faculty to develop case studies appropriate to their disciplines, and
- Help faculty publish and disseminate innovative educational materials through the Journal of SMET Education: Innovations and Research (www.jsmet.org).
