The National Academy of Engineering hosted a reteat comprising 30 participants from industry, government and academia to discuss establishing an NAE Center for the Advancement of Scholarship in Engineering Education (CASEE). The retreat featured a keynote address by Dr. Lee Shulman of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in Menlo Park, California. The participants discussed the importance of engineering education research on galvanizing change in how engineering is taught and practiced. Below are links to documents from the retreat.
