Media Relations, working closely with the National Academies' Office of News & Public Information, assists journalists with stories that involve engineering- and technology-related topics.
To make it easier for reporters to uncover, understand, and clearly explain important issues, we provide:
- sources of engineering expertise—namely, our members, the nation's most eminent engineers, and outstanding young engineers associated with the NAE,
- reliable background information through NAE and NRC peer-reviewed reports, and
- engineering angles behind the events of the day that will add depth to news coverage.
We also welcome ideas and input from engineers about noteworthy engineering developments or human interest stories—please share yours with Randy Atkins.
