AREE: Annals of Research on Engineering EducationAnnals of Research on Engineering Education (AREE)
AREE is a CASEE sponsored online resource of journal articles aimed at the dissemination of findings to the classroom environment. In cooperation with numerous participating journals, extended summaries, abstracts and discussion essays regarding relevant engineering education publications are presented. The core function of the site is then to promote discussion between readers and authors in identifying best practices, successful case studies, and refer to other useful resources. Visit the AREE Website.

Engineering Equity Extension Service (EEES)Engineering Equity Extension Service (EEES)
EEES is a five-year project supported by the National Science Foundation with the goal of increasing the number of women attaining baccalaureate degrees in engineering. The EEES project supports the efforts of professional associations in this field through (1) provision of technical assistance via cadre of Experts, (2) training programs for Extension Agents (professional development leaders within the Collaborating Organizations), and (3) a Virtual Support Network that serves as an electronic clearinghouse. By bringing together expertise in gender studies, the research base on science and engineering education, and project management, EEES seeks to positively impact on girls and women in academic preparation, social interactions, and curriculum design /delivery. Peer Reviewed Research Offering Validation on Effective and Innovative TeachingPeer Reviewed Research Offering Validation of Effective and Innovative Teaching
The PR2OVE-IT website is an evolving digital clearinghouse that summarizes the available research on educational interventions designed to enhance student learning, retention, and professional success in post-secondary engineering and other allied sciences. The online tool is divided into two major categories for searching and viewing information about articles: interventions (instructional practices) and outcomes (the main result(s) of the study). Each article chosen for inclusion in the database meets all five of the following criteria: 1) it had an educational intervention; 2) the intervention was at the undergraduate level; 3) the intervention was in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field; 4) it discussed an outcome (no matter how anecdotal); 5) the outcome was related to improved learning or performance, retention, or assessment (and not simply student satisfaction).  Visit the PR2OVE-IT website.

Bernard M. Gordon Prize medallionBernard F. Gordon Prize for Innovation in Engineering and Technology Education
Though not a CASEE project, we think you should know about the Gordon Prize which was inaugurated in 2001 by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). The intent of the prize is to recognize new modalities and experiments in education that develop effective engineering leaders. he Gordon Prize is presented annually, and the recipient receives a $500,000 cash award, half granted to the recipient and the remainder granted to the recipient's institution to support the continued development, refinement, and dissemination of the recognized innovation.  Visit the Bernard F.
