People’s Choice Award in the Engineering for You (E4U) Video Contest

Tue, July 01, 2014

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) announced today the selection of 15 finalists to compete for the People’s Choice Award in the Engineering For You (E4U) Video Contest.  The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be determined by which finalist video has received the most “likes” from July 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM EDT until September 1, 2014 at 12:00 PM EDT. To ensure that all finalists start the competition with an equal opportunity to win the prize, we will discount any "likes" the video has received before the start of the competition on July 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM EDT.

The winner of the award will be determined by which finalist video has received the most “likes” by September 1, 2014 at 12:00 PM EDT. The prize for the People’s Choice Award is $5,000.

All of the People’s Choice finalist videos are published on the E4U website and the NAE YouTube channel under the “Engineering for You People’s Choice” playlist. To vote for one of the finalists, click the “like” or thumbs up button on as many finalist videos as you want (you can only “like" each video once). Please be advised that in order to “like” a video on YouTube you will be asked to login to a YouTube or Google account. The videos are available on the E4U website and also on the NAE YouTube Channel. The “like” feature is synced between both websites, so you can only “like” each video once, even if you view the videos on both.

The winning videos—including People’s Choice Award, Best Overall, and Category winners—will be announced by the end of September 2014 and featured on the NAE and E4U websites, and shown at the NAE 50th Anniversary celebration during the NAE Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
