George Parker is Associate Technical Fellow and Technical Lead Engineer in the Northwest Analytical Chemistry/Thermal Analysis/Failure Analysis/Surface Characterization group at The Boeing Company. In that position, he leads and interfaces with 20 engineers and technicians to solve production material problems, research of new materials, failure analysis support and investigative analysis for NTSB and FAA. In addition, he has written and developed the Boeing – Edmonds Community College (EdCC) educational experiential learning exposure internship program (EELEIP), which has been very successful in replacing the maturing technical technician workforce at Boeing. George is very active in mentoring and coaching young engineers/scientist and working with various STEM outreach programs. He enjoys coaching basketball at Seattle Pacific University, hiking, playing tennis and golf, music, and working in the church with youth and young adults to encourage them to reach their dreams and full potential in life. George has BS and MS degrees in chemistry, an MS in industrial management, and a PhD in Polymeric Composite Technology Engineering.
