Biography

Dan Vergano is a science reporter for BuzzFeed News, where he covers science happenings in Washington DC. He was formerly a senior writer-editor at National Geographic and before that, the senior science writer at USA TODAY. He is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Washington DC campus, where he teaches journalism. He was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard in 2007, where he concentrated on the intersection of science and politics. He has a BS in aerospace engineering from Penn State and an MA in science, technology, and public policy from George Washington University.
