The National Academy of Engineering is holding a Workshop on the Engagement of Engineering Societies in Undergraduate Engineering Education. Participants will share insights, learn what others are doing, and scope out possible collaborations at the 1½-day workshop on January 26–27 (Thursday–Friday) in Washington, DC.
The workshop is designed to be highly interactive, with “lightning round” presentations, breakout sessions, and opportunities to explore collaborations. Participants will consider a range of practical topics: What are the best ways to establish effective intersociety collaborations to support engineering education? What kinds of educational activities raise students’ awareness of engineering disciplines? How can societies promote diversity in engineering? There will also be a presentation on program assessment, which our survey of engineering societies highlighted as a common concern.
A video recording of this event will be made available. The workshop will be webcast here.
Attendance is by invitation only.
