Julia Harth has a B.S. in Integrative-STEM Education and a M.A. in Special Education from The College of New Jersey. A strong advocate of project, inquiry-based learning, Julia accepted a position as a Technology, Engineering, & Design teacher at H.B.Whitehorne Middle School. She currently teaches students in grades 5-8. Her courses explore the processes and techniques used in the design and construction of our engineered world. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving and students’ abilities to troubleshoot and refine their designs. Julia has also established a Maker Club, which is focused on creating additional opportunities for students to develop confidence, creativity, and interest in STEM. Due to her background in Special Education, Julia strives to make STEM accessible to all students. Therefore, Julia is working with the Special Education teacher at HBW to incorporate various aspects of STEM into the Special Education curriculum.
