The NAE 2012 Annual Meeting, September 30—October 1, will be hosted in the restored NAS Building on Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC. Sunday, September 30 will begin with remarks by NAE Chair Charles O. Holliday, followed by the President’s address, and then the Induction Ceremony for the 66 members and 10 foreign members who were elected in February 2012. The public program will continue with a program recognizing the recipients of the Academy’s Founders and Bueche Awards, and the Bernard M. Gordon Prize Lecture. After a short break, the afternoon program will continue with the NAE’s Armstrong Endowment for Young Engineers – Gilbreth Lectures and the distinguished lecture.

Monday, October 1 events will focus on NAE member activities with a business meeting, followed by The Forum, Educating Engineers: Preparing 21st Century Leaders in the Context of New Modes of Learning. After lunch, the afternoon will be devoted to section meetings held in both the NAS Building and the Keck Center. Spouses and guests may participate in one of the tours being offered Monday morning. The day will conclude with the traditional reception and dinner-dance, which will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC.
