Lea Kissner is the global lead of privacy technology at Google, driven to build respect for users around the world into products and systems. She works with teams across Google and Alphabet to improve the privacy of products, design and build privacy-enhancing infrastructure, and perform novel research into both theoretical and practical aspects of privacy. She has worked at Google for 11 years on projects including logs anonymization, infrastructure security, and privacy infrastructure.
Dr. Kissner is a member of the Advisory Board of the IAPP Privacy Engineering Section and an organizer of the OURSA conference.
She earned a PhD in computer science (with a focus on cryptography) at Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley.
