Biography

Phillip Eisenberg was a Gibbs Brothers Medalist of the National Academy of Sciences in 1974 and a David W. Taylor Medalist of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in 1971; he received the Lockheed Award for Ocean Science and Engineering of the Marine Technology Society in 1980. He was elected to membership in the National Academy of Engineering in 1974.
