Forouzan Golshani is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and a Fellow of IEEE. He led the CSULB College of Engineering from 2007 to 2020. During his tenure, enrollment nearly doubled to 5,400 students, new educational programs were launched, novel industry partnerships were forged, and multiple top national rankings were achieved.
The author of more than 200 articles, Golshani has served as editor in chief or editorial board member of IEEE MultiMedia, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, and other publications. Previously, he wrote the Technology and Innovation column for the Long Beach Business Journal. The holder of 10 U.S. patents, Golshani is founder of several successful startups, including Corporate Enhancement Group, Roz Software Systems, and RFID Integrated Solutions. Previously he served has worked as a senior management consultant for Motorola, Intel, Honeywell, Bull Worldwide Systems, McDonnell Douglas Helicopter, and Sperry. He is a Fellow of IEEE and the National Academy of Inventors.
Prior to CSULB, Golshani served as NCR Distinguished Professor and Chairman of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Wright State University in Ohio. He was also a Center Director and Professor at Arizona State University, and Research Fellow at Imperial College in London. He holds a BS degree from Sharif University of Technology, and MS and PhD from University of Warwick, England.
