Dr Bai is the Deputy Director of Division I of Risk Assessment, National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), China. She has over 12 years’ experience in the food safety sector with a focus on molecular epidemiological microbiology, foodborne disease surveillance and microbiological risk assessment. She is a member of the National Committee for Food Safety Standards and the National Committee for Food Safety risk assessment, an expert for the Joint FAO/WHO expert meeting on Microbiological Risk Assessment (JEMRA) and a member of the WHO advisory group Foodborne Disease Burden Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG).
Dr. Bai participated in investigations on several COVID-19 outbreaks related to cold chain food, and drafted two guidelines for Controlling COVID-19 Transmission due to Contaminated Imported Frozen Food and Food Packaging. She will share some engineering approaches developed in clod food chain process to prevent human infections such as disinfection, traceability based on digital data and AI.
