If you find a leak in your ductwork, there are better options than duct tape, according to Michael Lubliner of Washington State University.  For example, a high-tech gas called Aeroseal.  Developed by government engineers, and now commercially available, it's chemically designed to find and automatically seal even hard-to-reach duct leaks.  If you're building a new home, you could reduce its energy consumption as much as fifty percent by making sure its parts help each other.  For example, Lubliner says that ductwork should be snuggled into insulated parts of your home so the air stays warm on its way to your living room.  With the National Academy of Engineering, Randy Atkins, WTOP Radio.
