Randy Atkins: The screen displays pictures ranging from microscopic to telescopic, using two-hundred million pixels on fifty high-definition TVs.

Stephen Jenks: The real trick is the software to be able to coordinate this stuff, be able to make all the displays act as if they’re one.

Randy Atkins: Stephen Jenks, a University of California engineer, says it allows unprecedented clarity, zooming in or out.  He foresees engineering advances that will seamlessly fuse all that image data onto huge rollable screens.
