Golf is becoming less frustrating for amateurs thanks to new technology.  Nike's golf engineering manager Tom Stites says innovations in materials used to design clubs may be driving golf's popularity.  Even small children can easily swing clubs crafted from ultra-light carbon composites.  And Stites says new club geometries help smooth swings naturally.  Club engineering involves calculating such things as "mass distributions," "coefficients of restitution," and "moments of inertia."  Stites says they have a real impact on how far your ball goes, and whether you find it in the fairway or forest.  With the National Academy of Engineering, Randy Atkins, WTOP Radio.
