The National Academy of Engineering Council approved a Code of Conduct for NAE members and Policies and Procedures: Violations of the NAE Code of Conduct, which may be updated by a vote of the NAE Council, for allegations that a member has violated the Code of Conduct. Alleged violations must be in writing, signed, marked “Privileged”, and directed to the NAE Executive Office at NAEExec@nae.edu. The complaint may be filed by an NAE member, a non-member, or an entity, such as a company or organization.
The NAE does not have the capacity to undertake investigations of alleged violations and will not accept personal accusations. Allegations should include a comprehensive description of the allegation and cite specific, publicly available evidence supporting the alleged violation.
