Filing a Code of Conduct Complaint

The National Academy of Engineering Council approved a Code of Conduct for NAE members and Policies and Procedures: Violations of the NAE Code of Conduct, which may be updated by a vote of the NAE Council, for allegations that a member has violated the Code of Conduct. Alleged violations must be in writing, signed, marked “Privileged”, and directed to the NAE Executive Office at The complaint may be filed by an NAE member, a non-member, or an entity, such as a company or organization.

The NAE does not have the capacity to undertake investigations of alleged violations and will not accept personal accusations. Allegations should include a comprehensive description of the allegation and cite specific, publicly available evidence supporting the alleged violation.
