An ad hoc committee will support an effort to engage the engineering education and broader engineering community in a constructive dialogue on the proposed ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) changes to Criteria 3 and 5. As part of this effort, the NAE will be hosting a public forum and assisting with a Town Hall at the 2016 ASEE Annual Conference. The Forum will bring together representatives from the diverse communities of engineering (including representatives from many of the 35 engineering societies that belong to ABET; employers of BS engineers; industry representatives and faculty and administrators of undergraduate engineering programs) impacted by and involved with the Criteria changes.  A brief summary report will be released following the Forum.
