The National Academy of Engineering's 3rd annual Engineering for You Video Contest (E4U3) on Mega Engineering! Most of humankind’s biggest endeavors are mega engineering projects that provide solutions that span disciplines, geographies, and cultural boundaries.
The Grand Prize of $25,000 will go to the most inspiring 1-2 minute video. We hope that you will participate in the contest and also encourage those in your communities to enter as well!
The E4U3 Video Contest closed May 31, 2016 at 12:00 PM.
The rules of the competition, evaluation criteria, prizes, and other pertinent information are provided on the website www.e4uvideocontest.org.
- The contestants are placed in one of four groups for the awarding of prizes. The contestant groups are (i) middle school students and younger students (grades K-8), (ii) high school school students (grades 9-12), (iii) tertiary school students (2-year college through grad school), and (iv) the general public.
- The best overall video, as determined by a panel of judges, will be awarded $25,000. The top video in each of the four category groups is eligible for an award of up to $5,000 at the judges’ discretion. The “people’s choice” video identified by viewer popularity will be awarded $5,000.
- Videos will be judged on (i) Creativity in the content selection and presentation; (ii) Anticipated breadth of public appeal and interest; and (iii) Effectiveness in in describing a mega-engineering project and its impact on people and society
