This workshop was held in collaboration with the University of Illinois - Urbana Champagne as part of their project on building a national e-resource for science and engineering ethics education (called EthicsCORE).

In 2009, the NAE Center for Engineering, Ethics, and Society held a workshop on Ethics Education and Scientific and Engineering Research: What's Been Learned? What Should Be Done? and published a workshop summary of the event. This 2012 workshop builds on what the 2009 workshop learned and will identify practical guidance for instructors and administrators working on ethics education. The workshop will review current literature and practices on classroom instruction, assessment methods, institutional programs, and institutional influences on ethics education.

To learn more about this event see the agenda or check out the workshop publication which includes the participants' papers and a summary of the workshop discussions.
